In March 1969 students, community members, and the people of the Central Illinois District gathered to dedicate the new Lutheran Student Center to the glory of God and for the good of the community.
On March 31, 2019 some of the same people, and many more, will gather to thank God for what He has done, and to rededicate the building and the ministry for the same purposes.
Join us at 2:00PM March 31, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Student Center (303 N. Clay Street) for the Festival Service of Celebration. Rev. Dr. Dale Meyer will be preacher. Former campus pastors Jim Cumming and Lindsay Watkins will join Pastor Mike Burdick in the Service. We invite all alumni, congregation members, community members, and the people of the Central Illinois District to join us! A reception will following the Service.
***In the morning of March 31, 2019 we will hold ONE Service at Immanuel Lutheran Church (906 E Grant St.) at 10:00am. The morning Divine Service will observe the Fourth Sunday in Lent. Please join us!***
If you’re traveling from Chicagoland to Macomb for the day on March 31, consider using Amtrak. You could arrive in Macomb at 11:00AM, and depart to return home on the 6:15PM train. We will be glad to help you with transportation at the Macomb Station. Just notify us by March 29 and we’ll pick you up and drop you off on Sunday.
